The Challenge


This busy public sector call centre operates around the clock, supporting essential services 365 days a year. With staff working day shifts, night shifts, and weekends, the organisation needed a reliable refreshment solution available at all times.

The Solution


Cymraeg Vending installed a fully operated micromarket solution, tailored to the demands of a 24/7 public sector workplace.


The micromarket layout includes:


  • Snack and confectionery shelving

  • Fresh and ambient food refrigeration

  • A cold drinks fridge with cans and bottled beverages

  • Coffee and tea facilities via a Coffetek Vitro X4 coffee machine

  • Long-life ambient food items


The market operates via a self-service cashless till system, where staff scan product barcodes before paying. This ensures fast transactions, particularly during busy shift changes.


Security and Additional Features


To minimise shrinkage and enhance security, the site opted for additional measures:


  • CCTV system with four overhead cameras positioned above the till area

  • An integrated till camera similar to those used in supermarkets


These features provide reassurance while maintaining a convenient, open-access shopping experience for staff.


Installation Process


The full installation was completed over 2 to 3 days. This included:

  • Setting up shelving and refrigeration units

  • Installing and testing the coffee machine

  • Configuring the self-service till system

  • Integrating security cameras


To launch the new facility, Cymraeg Vending hosted a welcome buffet event for staff, encouraging engagement and introducing the new micromarket concept.
